Curious minds - (9-11 years old) - 13/10/2025

‘Curious Minds’ is an active and creative camp inspiring kids aged 9-11 to spend active time in nature, explore and find out more about our lake and local flora and fauna, and unleash our creative minds.
We will visit Zoo La Garenne to see native wildlife including lynx and wild boar, take an autumn walk around the Arboretum finding out about native flora and fauna as well as other exotic species, and visit the Musée de Leman in Nyon and have a scientific look at what happens in and on Lac Leman. Weather dependant we’ll take a hike one morning, around our beautiful local countryside.
All our observations out and about will inform our creativity back at school – with more inspiration from artists, writers, and the natural sciences we’ll create our own artworks using all sorts of different media, try our hands at some autumn and nature themed writing (not ignoring Halloween of course!), have a go at some origami and other crafts, and more. We’ll also think about the games we most enjoy playing and create our own off-screen ‘rainy day’ games that we can share with friends and family.
Curious Minds will give your children present and engaged time in nature using all their senses to absorb what is around them. It will show them how our every day experiences can inspire creativity and in all sorts of ways. They’ll make friends, have fun, use their brains and their bodies and hopefully arrive home happily worn out!
